Siemens Medical Solutions is the entity of Siemens dealing with medical equipments.  The activities in the African French speaking countries are handled from their Office in Brussels just in front of the Daikin Europe one.

In 2006, they got a contract in Senegal for an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) for the ‘Hopital Principal de Dakar’.  They contacted Daikin, because they were in need of a chilled water system in order to cool down the helium compressor used by the MRI system.

Together with ‘SGE Equip’ (Daikin’s sales contact in Senegal), and Daikin Europe Consulting Sales Team, they studied the best solutions for their application and finally opted for 2 Daikin Air cooled Chiller system (one in Stand By).

The Chillers are as well used for the comfort cooling of the MRI’s room and also the adjacent ones.
